Piccolo Spot Cafe:

Hand Painted Wall Mural

A Cafe Mural With A Purpose

This Mural was the first of my career.

Upon meeting the cafe’s owner who told me he was looking to put up some colour in a cafe-themed piece of wall art to accommodate some House Rules.

We collaborated seamlessly on bringing a creative flair to the concept and ultimately realising his vision on the wall in the Cafe.

The process began with a rough hand-drawn illustration, which I coloured in procreate to give the client an idea of the finished project.

The wall was already painted a base white with a sign with the cafe’s name on it.

So I insured to add the cafe’s name into the design of the mural as the wall would become a feature wall ninth cafe as customers entered.

Having realised that in reality, the original design for the rules was not as effective on the wall as it was in the original design, so we decided to create a reusable chalkboard on the wall and use chalk markers instead so that the cafe owners could use it as a potential specials board, announcements or add and subtract some rules in future.

I created the finished mural splatters with an assortment of Acrylic paints and Dulux Chalk Board paint.
